I haven’t been back to the Prenatal Yoga classes I mentioned a few weeks ago. Despite purchasing an entire 20 session package, I’m just not sure I will like it! YES, I will eventually use them all, but for now, I’m really enjoying yoga on my own, if for no other reason than I can actually get a workout!
All that said, I’ve purchased a few Prenatal Yoga DVDs to introduce my body to the concept of something other than my high intensity routines. I’ve tried one so far – it was horrible! I will go ahead and steer you clear of the Crunch Fitness Prenatal DVD – don’t buy it!
I have three others that have yet to be unwrapped from their packaging. Has anyone ever tried any of these? I know, I know. I could simply go ahead and open them, try them out, and figure it out for myself, but I would really like someone else’s opinion!
This one had some really great reviews, mainly saying that it was surprisingly UNannoying, and that it was actually pretty fast paced. I think I’ll like it!
Vinyasa is the style of yoga I’m most familiar with, so I think I will like this one for that fact alone. Pretty much, Vinyasa is fluid movement, as opposed to holding each pose for longer periods of time. It keeps me from getting bored.
Judging from reviews, this program is going to be able to keep me in shape. Some commenters even said they would do it without being pregnant! It has the ability to actually make you sweat, and incorporates moves like squats to build muscle.
Alright, next week I’m going to commit and actually try them all out. I’ll make sure to report back!
