After spending yesterday afternoon with Jeremy’s mother, searching high and low for a glider that was both cute and cozy, we finally decided to custom make our own! The Plaid Rabbit – which I’ve mentioned before – has two brands of chairs that they order from; Little Castle and Best Chair. Both mom-in-law and I didn’t care for the fabric either company offered though, so we made a trip to the fabric store and picked some out for ourselves!
We went with Little Castle. They seemed to have cuter designs. I was shocked at how reasonably priced the chair was in comparison with Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware…even the furniture stores in Nashville. For reference, Poshtots.com has Little Castle gliders in a variety of fabrics. Like I said, the prices seemed really great!
We picked out the Hassock Ottoman and Cottage Glider, and are getting them to cover it with a Seaglass blue velvet fabric that we found for only $16 per yard! Trust me, this was mere happenstance. That fabric not only matched the bedding I chose, but was on sale because the store had ordered too much. Thank you, Jesus!
The fabric is almost identical to what we chose for the bumper – and yes, I went with the Satin Velvet by Bella Notte! It was just too pretty to say no to.
I can’t wait to begin putting everything into the room. One week from today we’ll know if baby White is a little boy or girl – and then I can start adding the details!
